Anthony Weiner, standing with his wife Huma Abedin, has apologized for the latest sexting/chatting news. Significantly, while he did not address the specific new revelation, he conceded that his chatting/texting continued after his 2011 resignation from Congress.

As you may have heard, a gossip site called The Dirty has published what are alleged to be new Anthony Weiner sex chats. Weiner has issued a statement now basically saying that he also said other stuff might come forward. What’s not clear yet is whether the new stuff was from before the original scandal and resignation or whether it came after. Which it is will almost certainly decide Weiner’s political fate.
If I’m understanding this correctly, Boehner’s strategy for the August recess is basically embracing the label of ‘do nothing Congress’? Or perhaps swapping out a dismal record of passing laws for a dismal record of repealing laws?
