It would seem that basically everyone at the FBI is leaking their sides of various internal disputes and turf wars, largely tied to various investigations of the Clintons or attempts to start investigations of the Clintons. That alone paints a picture of Director James Comey as having totally lost control of the organization. But the points of dispute themselves, well ….
Federal judge in North Carolina is deeply skeptical of the state’s process in which anyone can challenge and purge voters from the voting rolls: “This sounds like something that was put together in 1901,” she told lawyers for the state, who are defending the law and the thousands of purges carried out under it in the last few weeks. The NAACP is suing.
We’ve had a flood of state polls come out today. And I get emails each day with people asking me what I think, how’s it look, what’s happening? So I wanted to take a moment to take stock of where we are and who is likely to be elected President on Tuesday.
At a rally in Florida today, in a tear against the media, Donald Trump singled out NBC’s Katy Tur (a frequent Trump target who’s been threatened by supporters previously) by name. “You’re not reporting it, Katy!”
This in turn led the crowd to turn to the press pen and jeer Tur.

It looks like early voting numbers, particularly among African-American voters, may be starting to move in a more positive direction for Democrats in Florida.
New polls just out from Quinnipiac …
FLORIDA: Clinton 46 – Trump 45, Johnson 2
NORTH CAROLINA: Clinton 47 – Trump 44, Johnson 3
OHIO: Trump 46 – Clinton 41, Johnson 5
PENNSYLVANIA: Clinton 48 – Trump 43, Johnson 3
All told, pretty solid for Clinton – at least against baselines of last few days.
For those watching at home, I would say the biggest poll of the week was released about a half hour ago. It was the Maquette University Law School poll conducted by Professor Charles Franklin. Remember, we spoke to Charles in Episode #4 of my new podcast.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who looks all but certain to be defeated on Tuesday, is already calling for (not actually) President Clinton’s impeachment.
It’s November 2 and the PollTracker Average stands at Clinton 46.7 percent, Trump 44.8 percent, a 1.9 percentage-point spread.
The TPM Electoral Scoreboard stands at Clinton 273, Trump 215. Florida, Nevada, and North Carolina are in the Toss Up category.
