Liz Cheney forced to post bond for making a false residency statement in attempt to obtain Wyoming fishing license.
Frank Sharry, executive director of America’s Voice, one of if not the top immigration reform advocate in the country, responds to my post yesterday (“Immigration Reformers, Wake the F’Up!“) in “An open letter to Josh Marshall and other immigration reform pessimists who might be interested.”

At 5 PM this afternoon, we’ll be hosting Professor Gary May for a TPMPrime Live Chat. He’ll be discussing his new book Bending Toward Justice: The Voting Rights Act and the Transformation of American Democracy, which Justice Ginsburg cited in her dissent in Shelby County v. Holder. This is, as I probably don’t have to tell you, an incredibly important subject – not just historically but right now. Get your questions in now and join us at 5 PM.
There are now 18 Bob Filner accusers. I’d missed the 17th canonical accuser who came forward over the weekend. Last week, after the first woman came forward to say that Filner had not harassed or fondled her, it seemed the tide might be turning. The ratio moved from 16:0 to 16:1. And it seemed plausible that Filner might be able to come up with one woman who said he hadn’t fondled or harassed her for every women who said he had. But it’s not turning out that way. We’re now at 18:1.
In fairness to Filner, it seems unlikely that this 94.5% harassment/fondle rate will hold up among the San Diego female population at large.

Which are the four Republican-led states that have officially adopted Medicaid expansion under Obamacare? And more to the point, how f’d up a situation is it that opposition to Obamacare has become so crazed and obsessive that the number is only four?
