This is getting to be more fun than I thought it would be. Ted Cruz is a natural born American citizen blah blah blah. But because he was born in Canada he’s actually a Canadian citizen too. He’s a dual citizen. This is the same as if a couple of French expats were living in the US and had a child and then returned to France. Embattled Mayor Bob Filner has seen 16 women come forward to allege various forms of sexual harassment including unwanted advances, inappropriate office behavior, face licks and headlocks. But at a Filner rally today, a letter was read from one woman who says she has known Filner for 30 years “and he never sexually harassed me.”
That makes it 16 to 1 against Filner. But momentum seems to be shifting in Filner’s direction.
I noted over the weekend that Mingo County, West Virginia probably takes the crown for having the most corrupt and crazy ass judiciary and law enforcement in the country. A couple of really weird, troubling stories out of one county in West Virginia. First, the chief judge in the county has been arrested after what has to qualify as one of the most mind-boggling abuses of office I’ve ever heard of. Judge Michael Thornsbury had an affair with his married secretary Kim Woodruff. When she wanted to cut it off Thornsbury went on a four year crusade to frame Woodruff’s husband Robert of any number of crimes including drug possession, larceny and assault. Read More

As I’ve written, Ted Cruz is definitely a ‘natural born’ American citizen and eligible to serve as president. That said, even though he’s now released his birth certificate, you have to wonder what kind of influences he was exposed to growing up in a primitive, post-colonial setting like Canada during the radical Trudeau regime.
Earlier I flagged this very bizarre story of a local circuit court judge in Mingo County, West Virginia who was having an affair with his married secretary and when she tried to break it off he went on a four year campaign trying to frame her husband for a handful of crimes. The story is almost comical in a way, except if you’re David Woodruff – the guy who not only had his wife cheat on him but then had to endure four years of persecution and framings at the hands of the county’s top judge. But there’s something else going on in Mingo – a decade old rape allegation that may be tied to the highly publicized assassination of the Mingo County Sheriff earlier this year. Read More
