The new SurveyUSA poll of the California Senate race gives Republican former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina a narrow edge over Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer.
The numbers: Fiorina 47%, Boxer 45%. The poll of likely voters has a margin of error of ±4%. There is no prior SurveyUSA poll for direct comparison.
The TPM Poll Average gives Boxer a lead of 45.6%-43.2%. Boxer has generally had narrow leads in most other polls, but this could definitely be a close race.
