Apparently there’s no room left for subtlety in the fight against AHIP. Meet Patriot Baby, the new hero of health insurance industry opponents:
Americans United For Change is behind the video, the first in series targeting Republicans and health care reform opponents over prenatal and child care. The next will feature Patriot Baby setting his sights on Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ).
The series’ creator/producer, Dan Manatt, said he offered us info on the ads on “Baby Background”: The identity of the baby starring in the series is top secret, but he he did offer TPMDC exclusive info on the rest of the cast.
Patriot Baby is voiced by AUC’s Jeremy Funk. His mouth is played by Mannatt’s 7 year old nephew, Patrick Anders.
“In a screen test, I had him say ‘Republicans – meet your worst nightmare,'” Mannatt said. “Which he did with gusto.”
