One unsuccessful candidate from a recent primary has apparently dealt with her disappointment. Republican MS-01 candidate Angela McGlowan is now officially endorsing GOP nominee Alan Nunnelee, to go up against Blue Dog Democratic Rep. Travis Childers.

McGlowan, a Fox News commentator who came in a distant third place in the June 1 primary, had initially refused to endorse Nunnelee, citing his record as a state senator: “I will vote for Alan, but I will not endorse him, because he’s a RINO Republican, and he has raised folks’ taxes, and I think he would run amok in Washington, D.C., the same as any other incumbent politician.”

In an e-mail to her supporters today, though, McGlowan took the opposite route. “After speaking with Senator Alan Nunnelee, I was reassured that he is committed to protecting the taxpayers of the 1st Congressional District by promoting fiscally responsible policies, if elected to Congress,” McGlowan writes. “Because of this, I am extending my endorsement and support to Senator Nunnelee and his campaign to help restore Conservative values in Washington, DC.”
