The feud between Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz is becoming almost comical. In this Cruz campaign fundraising email sent to TPM, the Texas senator tries to maintain an air of calm remove while directly attacking his opponent:

Agree or Disagree?

Josh Marshall: It doesn’t make sense that Ted Cruz somehow didn’t realize he had health care coverage. “All the holes in his story make this totally obvious: he lied. He just plain made it up because it fit too perfectly with his political message.”

Say What?!

“Well, I did say that because I deal in New York and frankly, I hoped he was a good mayor. He’s turned out to be a terrible mayor, he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I mean, the guy is incompetent.”

– Trump said in an interview he felt “pretty strongly” that De Blasio would be a good mayor, but now insists that was not a show of support.

BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “Well, Bernie inspires me again. I hear the same platitudes that inspired me when I was young. But, not this time. Not for me. The stakes are too high this time. Republicans, those regressive liars and cheaters have the House, the Senate and control most of the Supreme Court. One thing stands in the way of complete an total Republican control and all that means and will mean to the liberal values we progressives hold dear and that sole barrier is the Presidency of the United States. I shunned Hilary while President Obama ran against her. I would again. But, I will not support Bernie over Hillary. We simply can’t take the chance that Republicans win. I honestly believe that Republicans are wolves dressed as sheep, many working the social media pretending to be progressives on Bernie’s behalf and working the media to press for the underdog. Platitudes won’t keep us from a Republican locust infestation. We need to elect someone who will protect what we fought so hard these last eight years to achieve. I love Bernie. I love Bernie’s ideas. But, beaten 49 states to 1 once in my lifetime is enough. I will not vote with my heart against my head this time. Too much is at stake. Hillary, you are my candidate this year and for four years after that.”
