Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus largely ducked questions about the new White House immigration policy announced Friday, except to say that he believes Obama’s decision to halt deportations of DREAM-eligible youth was motivated by politics.
“This president’s all politics, all the time,” Priebus told reporters after his speech at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in downtown Washington D.C. “Everything he does is politically motivated.”
Priebus stayed away from the substance of the immigration move.
“He’s made a lot of promises that he hasn’t kept,” Priebus said, when asked by TPM for his initial reaction to the move.
