Donald Trump Thought He Came Out Pretty Well In ‘Game Change’ Sequel

Donald Trump figured prominently in “Double Down,” the gossipy chronicle of the 2012 presidential election, and the reality television star thought the authors were pretty good to him.

Trump made a rare appearance Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and he made a point to commend Mark Halperin, who co-authored the “Game Change” sequel with New York Magazine writer John Heilemann and was on set during the real estate mogul’s interview.

“And Mark was so nice to me in the book and the book was terrific,” Trump said.

Halperin and Heilemann gave plenty of ink in “Double Down” to Trump, who emerged as the most prominent birther during the 2012 election cycle. Much of the book’s opening pages focused on President Obama’s efforts to refute the charges that he wasn’t born in the United States.
