Fox News host Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday said he supports a $10 minimum wage, an increase backed by President Obama and congressional Democrats.
“Since only six percent of American workers get minimum wage, I say, ‘Fine. Up it.’ I don’t think it’s a big deal,” he said on his show “The O’Reilly Factor” when discussing that two thirds of Americans support an increase in the minimum wage.
O’Reilly’s guest, Fox News contributor Lou Dobbs, noted Obama initially backed raising the minimum to just $9 an hour. But O’Reilly was not dissuaded.
“Ten bucks is okay with me,” he said. “I think Americans in general would be willing to pay a few more cents for products to up it to ten bucks.”
