Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan to celebrate the Fourth of July with American troops, according to CBS News.

McCain led a reenlistment ceremony Thursday for about a half dozen U.S. soldiers in Kabul.

The Arizona senator tweeted out a picture of the ceremony.

The two senators met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday, the Hill reported. They also met with soldiers stationed at the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Command along with Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
