The New York Times is reporting that skirmishes broke out Tuesday around Cairo’s Tahrir Square between supporters of the Islamist government and the protesters who have called for Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi’s ouster.
The Times has compiled a number of tweets, ostensibly from eyewitnesses. One individual said gunfire and rocks were involved in the clashes.
