President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama next month will travel to the United Kingdom and Germany, the White House announced Friday.
The President and his wife will first go to Belfast, “where he will engage with the people of Northern Ireland and highlight the hard work, dialogue, and institutional development they have undertaken together,” according to the White House. Obama will also participate in the G-8 Summit in Lough Erne, Northern Ireland.
Following the G-8 Summit, the Obamas will press on to Germany to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel. The trip is scheduled for June 17-19.
