White House To Cabinet: Use Commencement Speeches To Sell Obamacare

The White House has directed all cabinet members and senior administration officials to highlight the benefits of the Affordable Care Act in any commencement speeches they deliver this year, according to a Bloomberg report.

Specifically, the administration wants officials to note the law allows young adults to stay on their family’s insurance plans until they turn the age of 26. Obamacare remains unpopular three years after its passage even though most of its individual provisions, like the one aimed at young adults, are very popular.

A poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation last month found that a notable 42 percent of Americans are unsure if Obamacare is even the law of the land, compared to 59 percent who correctly said it indeed was.
