The Chicago Tribune on Monday bought pizza for the staff of the Boston Globe in a show of gratittude for the newspaper’s “tenacious” coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings last week.
Jennifer Peter, metro editor for the Globe, made note of the gesture on Twitter and included a photo of a note sent by the Tribune.
“We can’t buy you lost sleep, so at least let us pick up lunch,” the note read.
