President Obama thanked authorities for capturing Dzokhar Tsarnaev and acknowledged the victims of both the bombing and the deadly manhunt to catch the two suspects. He also pledged a complete investigation to figure out how the attack was planned and why.
“Obviously there are many unanswered questions, among them, why did young men who grew up and studied here as part of our communities and our country resort to such violence?” he said. “How did they plan and carry out these attacks and did they have help? The families killed so senselessly deserve answers. The wounded, some of whom have to learn how to stand, walk, live again, deserve answers.”
