Students, staff and faculty at UMass Dartmouth were asked to evacuate the campus on Friday morning amid a massive manhunt for 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings who is still at large.
The university asked students, staff and faculty to evacuate in “a calm and orderly fashion.” Students who do not have transportation have been asked to meet at Lot 1 on the campus, where they will be taken to Dartmouth High School.
The evacuation began after it was confirmed that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is registered at the school, although Fox News reported that it remains unclear if he is studying there or if he had lived on campus.
