Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said a bipartisan plan for comprehensive immigration reform will hit the Senate floor no later than June of this year, as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) pledged, giving all parties involved three weeks to review the legislation before the Senate begins deliberation.

The “markup” of the bill would thus begin in the Senate Judiciary Committee in May, ensuring it emerges “battle-tested.”
