The Senate’s “Gang of 8” is making immigration headlines today with their bipartisan framework for immigration reform. But the House may have its own bipartisan bill soon, according to members who spoke to Buzzfeed.
“Although we have not seen the legislation text, the principles released today are compatible with the discussions in the House,” Rep. Mario Diaz Balart (R-FL) said.
The House, whose members are more conservative and less threatened by a rising Latino vote than most statewide officials, is considered a much tougher climb for reform advocates.
