President Obama on Friday reaffirmed his committment to paying down the deficit in a “balanced approach,” delivering a statement on the economy at the White House:
“We have to combine spending cuts with revenue. That means asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little more in taxes,” Obama said.
“A majority of Americans agree with my approach,” Obama added, pointing to his re-election.
