A pair of polls show that the majority of residents in Washington State support Referendum 74, which would legalize gay marriage in the state. The first poll from SurveyUSA released Thursday saw support at 54 percent and opposition at 41 percent. A second poll University of Washington released Friday, showed support for the amendment at 54.1 percent and opposition at 38.4 percent.
The numbers mirror the PollTracker average, which pegs support at 54.1 percent and opposition at 39.3 percent.
