After a debate with Democratic challenger Tammy Duckworth, Republican Rep. Joe Walsh told reporters that he is “absolutely” against abortion, even in cases in which the mother’s life is at risk, because science has prevented such circumstances.
“With modern technology and science, you can’t find one instance,” Walsh said, according to The Chicago Tribune. “… There is no such exception as life of the mother, and as far as health of the mother, same thing.”
