SpaceX’s Dragon capsule successfully launched aboard the company’s Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 8:35 p.m. EDT on Sunday. The unmanned cargo capsule is on an historic mission to resupply the International Space Station, the first official cargo resupply mission by a private company and the first of 12 such contracted missions by SpaceX paid for by NASA.
