Democrat Chris Murphy’s campaign objects to Linda McMahon’s statement Tuesday insisting she disagrees with Mitt Romney’s characterization of 47 percent of Americans as dependent on government.
The Murphy campaign posted a web video that combines Romney’s comments with a clip of McMahon from 2011, using the same 47 percent figure.
“I’d like to see everyone pay their fair share. Forty-seven percent of the people today don’t pay any taxes,” McMahon says in the clip.
