Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican George Allen are neck and neck in the Virginia Senate race.
Kaine leads 47 percent to 46 percent in a poll from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling. The survey of 1,021 likely voters was conducted Sept. 13-16, and has a 3.1 percent margin of error.
The PollTracker Average shows the two candidates tied at 46.3 percent each.
