There are signs that Democrats are starting to open their wallets to Democratic-leaning super PACs, which have struggled to match the fundraising pace of Republican-leaning groups. Priorities USA Action, the super PAC supporting President Obama’s reelection, announced it raised $4 million in May, the group’s best fundraising month to date.
Team Obama and Democratic Party officials have increasingly called on donors to swallow their qualms about super PACs in order to protect Democrats from the massive expected spending onslaught from the right.
