An historic first-ever private spacecraft docking mission originally set for April 30, then postponed to May 7 for additional testing, has likely been delayed again, according to NASA.
Private spacecraft development company SpaceX, owned by billionaire entreprenuer Elon Musk, was targeting May 7 as the launch date for its Falcon 9 rocket, which is set to carry an unmanned cargo vessel called the Dragon up to the International Space Station several days later.
But as NASA’s Kennedy Space Center tweeted on Wednesday: “SpaceX Update:At this time, a May 7 launch appears unlikely. SpaceX is continuing to work through the software assurance process with NASA.”
