Solar Storm Damages European Satellite

The solar flare geomagnetic storm striking earth right now isn’t causing any significant problems to communications and power grids on Earth, but it has temporarily fried the lenses of cameras on a European satellite orbiting Venus. Scientists hope that the glitch is temporary due to the Sun’s increased activity, but the cameras have been offline for at least 40 hours now. Space.com has the details.
