The federal judge in Montana who forwarded an email which implied that President Barack Obama’s white mother had sex with a dog has initiated a judicial misconduct review by filing a complaint against himself with the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
Richard Cebull will also issue a formal apology to Obama, Jed Link, a spokesman for Rep. Denny Rehberg, told the Associated Press.
“Judge Cebull apologized and Denny took his apology to be heartfelt and sincere. Judge Cebull also indicated that he is sending a formal apology to President Obama and that he is asking the 9th Circuit to review the matter,” Link said, according to the AP.
The watchdog group Common Cause called for Cebull to resign over the email.
