A new Sunday version of Rupert Murdoch’s tabloid, The Sun, will be printed next weekend, the paper announced on Sunday.
In an internal memo to staff, the company said: “Rupert Murdoch said during his visit on Friday that a new Sunday title would be published ‘very soon’ — and that is a week from today.”
The new paper will launch seven months after its sister publication, the News of the World, closed. Several employees of the Sun were recently arrested over bribery claims.
