AZ GOPer Proposes Elective High School Bible Course

A Republican lawmaker is proposing legislation to allow an elective Bible course in high schools in Arizona. The state doesn’t ban the use of the Bible in school curriculum as long as it’s for academic use, the Arizona Republic reports. If the law is passed, Arizona would become the sixth U.S. state to offer Bible courses, following Georgia, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
