Military police poured into Cario’s Tahrir Square on Wednesday in an attempt to halt ongoing demonstrations. After a period of brief calm, skirmishes started up again, CNN reports. Protesters are calling on Egypt’s military leaders to hand over power. National elections are still scheduled for Monday.
