President Joe Biden is slated to give a national address at the White House on Thursday evening observing the one-year anniversary of the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biden will give the speech at 8 PM ET, according to the White House’s schedule, marking his first presidential primetime address.
“It’s a speech about where we’ve been, where we are and where we can be,” senior White House adviser Anita Dunn told the Washington Post. “And I think it will speak to the shared experience of this country over the last year.”
Besides reflecting on the shutdown, Biden is expected to tout his $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package that has now successfully passed in both chambers of Congress, according to the Post and the Associated Press. The President will sign the bill on Friday.
March 11 last year was when then-President Donald Trump announced the U.S. ban on travel from Europe in an error-ridden speech.

I am doing my part. I am making weekly phone calls to Sinema’s office letting her know I did not vote for her to obstruct the Democratic agenda. I hope a lot of Dems in AZ start doing this - we need to pressure her and Manchin constantly to do the right thing.
