The day after Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) told CBS that he may help block a health care bill, his office released a statement saying he will vote to allow the bill to come to the Senate floor for debate.
In yesterday’s statement, Bayh’s office said he “will support moving forward to a health care debate on the Senate floor.”
On Wednesday, Bayh said he considers “procedure and substance as being largely one and the same.”
“I’d like to move forward, but some of that’s going to depend on is it fiscally responsible,” he added.
The statement did not address whether Bayh will vote to bring the bill to a final vote.
