The late Laura Branigan’s legacy manager is not happy.
Why? Because the Trump family used the ’80s singer’s hit song “Gloria,” without permission, to warm up for their attack on the United States Capitol.

Should Branigan’s representatives pursue the matter, they will be happy to know that there is video evidence of the crime in process — the misuse of “Gloria,” that is, not the coup attempt.

“Gettin’ ready to go out there!” Don Jr. tells the camera as he bops his head, presumably shortly before he went on stage Wednesday morning.
In a longer version of the footage, Don Jr. pans the camera to the White House chief of staff, referring to Mark Meadows as “an actual fighter!”
Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, then urges viewers to “have the courage to do the right thing! Fight!”
Oh, they did: In a few hours, the President’s minions would be breaking windows and stealing name plates and computers from Congress.
Pumped up on Branigan, the President’s son would go on to tell the assembled thousands that the size of the crowd “should be a message to all the Republicans who have not been willing to actually fight!”
The President would then tell the crowd that he’d join them on the march to the legislature, ultimately resulting in the first interruption to the peaceful transfer of power the United States had seen in centuries.
As the tape runs, though, Trump simply nods his head to the beat. Only Branigan seems to know what’s coming.
“I think you’ve got to slow down,” she sings.
“Before you start to blow it”
“I think you’re headin’ for a breakdown”
