Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) may not be part of the DCCC leadership, but on Monday night he sounded every the bit party recruiter. In an appearance on MSNBC’s The Ed Show, Moran urged the host to run for Senate.
After Schultz called for “some fighters” to emerge as the battle for health care reform draws to a close, Moran flipped the script.
You know what I want to know, Ed? I want to know when you are going to run for the U.S. Senate. That’s what I want to know. We need people like you in the Senate. We need to get rid of the damn filibuster and make it a more representative body.
In a revealing glimpse at his political skills, Schultz artfully dodged the congressman’s question. “Do you realize how that would cut into my fishing and hunting?” he asked.
