White House Official On Plane Incident: ‘Under Investigation’

A White House official released a short readout about the incident on Flight 663 last night. President Obama was on Air Force One en route to Prague when the news broke.

“Earlier tonight on board United Airlines Flight 663 from Reagan National Airport to Denver International Airport Federal Air Marshals responded to a passenger who they believed was causing a disturbance.

The flight landed safely at the Denver International Airport, and law enforcement authorities are questioning the passenger.

The President was briefed by National Security Advisor General Jim Jones and National Security Staff Chief of Staff Denis McDonough at 850 pm EDT and appropriate actions were taken to ensure the safety of the traveling public. The incident is currently under investigation.”
