Billionaire Tom Steyer, who has become a prominent advocate for impeaching President Trump with his investment in advertisements advocating for the cause in recent months, is reportedly going to announce a 2020 bid in the coming days, Politico reported.

Steyer said in January that he had decided against running. But at least one person who works for Steyer told Politico that he held a call with employees of Need to Impeach and NextGen America — two political groups he founded — and his Sacramento office and said he was planning to run. Steyer will likely talk about the economy given his finance background. People familiar with his plans told Politico it’s expected he will pick Heather Hargreaves, who’s worked for Steyer for four years, to run his campaign.

If he does announce a bid, Steyer will join a crowded 2020 Democratic field of about two dozen candidates who have already been through one round of primary debates.

    No!

  2. And, you’re offering what?
Some of these people could be really helpful in fighting for some of the injustices since he apparently has lots of money to throw around, but oh no, it’s got to be president or nothing.

  3. Boy, I can’t wait for all the Republicans to jump in on their side.

  4. Just another indication that none of the existing candidates is generating broad-based support to unite the opposition and rid us of Putin’s Prank. Not looking good, folks.
