Recount? What recount?

Democrat Mark Dayton is making it clear that he’s going to be ready if he is declared the next governor of Minnesota, launching his transition site, daytontransition.org — recount or no.

The site leads with a welcome message from Dayton and his running mate, Yvonne Prettner Solon, saying that while election officials sort out who the official winner is, “the challenges facing us and our State simply cannot wait.”

It also puts a call out for suggestions and maybe even a few job applications:

If you are interested in service to our State through a position in an agency, on a board or a commission; or if you have an idea of how to create a better Minnesota, we welcome it through this website.

Of course, there’s still the recount. Dayton currently leads Republican Tom Emmer by less than 9,000 votes, or 0.42%. The hand recount will take place from November 29-December 7.
