Windows were damaged at the Houston office of Rep. Gene Green (D-TX) Tuesday afternoon in an incident originally reported as a shooting.
A person familiar with the incident confirmed local reports that shots were shots fired in what they believed to be a random shooting. But Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties told Politico that an officer believed the damage could have been a result of a pellet or BB gun.
Green was not in the office at the time of the incident. The Capitol Police were notified of the incident and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Houston Police Department deemed the situation safe.
