A court hearing scheduled for Friday for Democratic campaign treasurer Kinde Durkee, accused of stealing money from the political campaigns and charities whose finances she managed, has been pushed back until Jan. 26.

The Justice Department and Durkee’s legal team agree that her arrest in September “occurred at a time before the investigation was completed, and that the case is complex given the number of clients of Ms. Durkee and bank accounts involved,” according to a Tuesday court filing. The government needs “additional time to conclude its investigation.”

Several former Durkee clients, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Rep. Linda Sanchez and Rep. Loretta Sanchez have reported massive losses since Durkee was arrested. Durkee has been accused of spending campaign cash on everything from makeup to ice cream to her mother’s nursing home bill.
