Report Ranks Countries On Happiness, US Doesn’t Even Crack The Top 10

A new international report from economists ranks world countries on happiness.

The rankings are based on income and life expectancy figures, along with how people rate social support, personal freedom, corruption and generosity. Together it is used to generate a happiness score from 1 to 10. The United States ranks 14th with a 6.99.

6. Netherlands 7.38

8. New Zealand 7.32

  1. Well. Well. A lot of liberal leaning countries there. Except maybe for Australia. And every one of them, including Australia. has national health insurance. Will we look at this and learn. Probably not. We barely notice that the top ten lowest income states, right here in the USA, have been run by Republicans for ages.

    And BTW, despite the red herring Chicago…if you live in a Red state, on average, you have a 35% chance of being a homicide victim, as compared to the average Blue state.

    No worries though. Ignore the worldwide observational evidence. Full speed ahead with the Republican agenda.
