Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) leads his GOP rivals among Iowa residents likely to vote in the Iowa caucuses, according to a new Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register poll released Saturday night.
Walker garnered 15 percent support among Iowans, up from only four percent in an October Iowa poll. Fourteen percent favored Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY); 13 percent favored Mitt Romney; 10 percent favored former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R); 9 percent favored Ben Carson; and just 8 percent favored former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R)

Walker’s surge comes after the Iowa Freedom Summit, at which he outshone many of his Republican peers.
Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register surveyed 402 likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers Jan. 26-29 with a margin of error plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
At this point in time, he holds the lead. However, leading early opens him up to increased scrutiny and I am hoping he doesn’t hold up well. Check his comments today to foreign policy questions on ABC - he is a “not ready for prime time” candidate.
Good, he won’t last long.
Fasten your seatbelts for the imminent “flame out.”
The previous two winners: 2012 - President Rick Santorum; 2008 - President Mike Huckabee.
Honestly there isn’t a single GOP potential candidate that I wouldn’t enjoy watching Hilary mop the floor with.
But this guy seems to be a particular lightweight.
