A poll released Thursday morning showed real estate mogul Donald Trump narrowly beating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a general election match-up in the swing state of Florida.
The poll from Quinnipiac University, which looked at three key swing states, showed Clinton beating The Donald in the two other states — Ohio and Pennsylvania — but losing in Florida, 43 percent to 41 percent. The gap between the two was within the poll’s margin of error: plus or minus 3 percent.
As Quinnipiac noted, since 1960, no candidate was elected President without winning at least two of the polled swing states.
The poll showed Trump beating all of his primary rivals in Florida, including two who call the state home.
Trump received 21 percent of the support among GOP voters in Florida while the state’s former Gov. Jeb Bush took 17 percent and Sen. Marco Rubio (R) was tied with former neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson at 11 percent.
In the general election match-up in Florida, Bush and Rubio both led Clinton, according to the poll.
The Florida poll was conducted among 1,093 adults, 477 of whom were Republican voters and 354 of whom were Democratic voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent. The Republican margin of error was plus or minus 4.5 percent and the Democratic margin of error was plus or minus 5.3 percent.
Oh, bullshit.
Do you believe it’s a bullshit poll, or do you think it’s bullshit that 43% of voters would vote for Trump in Florida?
I believe it’s perilous to underestimate the power of an apparently talented demagogue to sway enough people to vote for him.
This has nothing to do with Trump, but has everything to do with Clinton. People do not like her. They do not trust her. Since she has announced her poll numbers have done nothing but drop. Other polls show her losing to Rubio in swing states. The Dem party better hope Biden runs or bernie is the real deal, because Clinton is TOXIC.
“The Florida poll was conducted among 1,093 adults, 477 of whom were Republican voters and 354 of whom were Democratic voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent.”
This looks a little off for a general election turnout. Dems are about 40% of Florida voters, GOP 36%, other 24%.
Believe me, if Donald Trump is the Republican nominee, and he WON’T be, millions of GOPers will vote for Hillary Clinton.
