Hillary Clinton jumps ahead of Donald Trump by 10 points in the latest national poll of likely voters from Quinnipiac University.
Quinnipiac’s new national poll shows Clinton ahead of Trump, 51 to 41. This marks an eight-point increase in the former Secretary of State’s lead over Trump since Quinnipiac polled at the end of June.
When third party candidates are included in the poll, Clinton leads by seven points, 45-38, followed by Libertarian Gary Johnson at 10 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 4 percent.
In the last iteration of Quinnipiac’s national poll, from late June, Clinton led by two points, 42-40. In a four-way race, Clinton still led by two points, 39-37, with Johnson polling at 8 percent and Stein at 4 percent.
The poll was conducted by Quinnipiac University via live interviews from Aug. 18-24. The sample included 1,498 likely voters nationally and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percent.
TPM’s PollTracker Average for the general election shows Clinton leading Trump, 45.7 to 40.2.
But … but … what about …
I’m tellin’ ya ! … She ain’t gettin’ my teddy bear … Damn it ! ----
Also, too, RCP has her in single digits negatives for approval. Her approval is at 43.3, and her disapproval at 53.0. That means she’s at a -9.7 approval spread. Single digits.
So basically Hillary will crush her enemies, see them driven before her, hear the lamentations of their menfolk. That is good! Dominance politics in action.
It’s a national poll, but still encouraging. I fully expect the merger between AP and Breitbart to be completed by the end of next week to prevent the horse race from becoming a boat race.
I would love to know what the polling was in the first few days of polling versus the last few days. I’m wondering if opinions of Trump especially are hardening and no amount of “OMG Emails” stories will sway Clinton voters to Trump.
