Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads the Democratic primary race in South Carolina by 28 points, nearly double the support registered for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), according to an NBC/WSJ poll released Friday.

The poll showed support for Clinton at 60 percent, compared to 32 percent for Sanders. This indicates a slight narrowing of Clinton’s lead since NBC/WSJ polled the state in January and found Clinton beating Sanders 64 percent to 27 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average shows support for Clinton at 58 percent and Sanders at 32.4 percent.

The NBC/WSJ poll was carried out by live telephone interview from Feb. 15-17. Pollsters surveyed 425 likely Democratic voters with a margin of error of 4.8 percentage points.
