Hillary Clinton comes out ahead among likely Florida voters, leading Donald Trump by five points in a new Monmouth University poll.

Clinton leads the poll, 46-41, with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson polling at 6 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 1 percent.

The Democratic nominee held a larger lead when Monmouth last polled Sunshine State voters in August, when Clinton led by nine points, 48-39, with Johnson at 6 percent and Stein at 1 percent.

But this latest poll marks an improvement for Clinton in Florida from other recent polls. Trump came out ahead by four points in the swing state earlier this month in a CNN/ORC Florida poll.

The Monmouth University poll was conducted via live telephone interview Sept. 16-19 among 400 likely Florida voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average in Florida shows a tossup, with Trump leading Clinton, 46.5 to 45.2.
