Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) has a lead of five percentage points over billionaire Donald Trump in his home state, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

The poll showed support for Kasich at 34 percent, while Trump stood at 29 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was at 19 percent of support while Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) languished at 7 percent.

This is the first Fox poll in Ohio, where polling has been relatively sparse. Trump has led the Republican field in virtually all of the polls that have been conducted there, but by margins much smaller than those he has consistently enjoyed in national polling.

Following this poll, TPM’s PollTracker Average shows Kasich enjoying a slim lead at 33.3 percent, followed by Trump at 32 percent, Cruz at 18 percent and Rubio at 7.7 percent.

The Fox News poll was carried out form March 5-8 by live phone interviews. Pollsters surveyed 806 people likely to vote in the Republican primary, with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
