Maggie Hassan, the Democratic challenger to New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, has a 10-point lead among likely voters, according to the latest polling.

With leaning voters taken into account, Hassan, the current governor, leads 50-40 in the closely watched race, the MassINC Polling Group/WBUR poll shows.

Hassan led by 11 points, 48-37, before leaning voters were included.

The last MassINC/WBUR poll, conducted in May, showed Hassan with a two-point lead when including leaning voters.

A separate July poll, conducted by Inside Sources/NH Journal, contrasted sharply with this latest poll, showing Ayotte ahead by eight points.

The MassINC/WBUR poll was conducted July 29- Aug. 1 among 609 likely New Hampshire voters via telephone, with a margin of error of plus or minus four percent.
